Q: I registered for an event and I never heard from you?
A: Here is the problem: most ISP's have certain default settings regarding SPAM email that are causing our email to be routed to your Junk Mail folder.
Q: What's the difference between HTML and Text email format?
A: Email sent in HTML (hypertext markup language) appears in much the same way you're viewing this web page. We're able to format the message we send you, adding graphics and links to other pages that you might find useful. HTML emails are ultimately designed with you, the reader, in mind and communicate their message much more effectively than emails sent as plain text.
Email sent as plain text can be effective too; however, you won't see the formatting (bold, italics, etc.) that makes HTML easier to read. You still can receive links to useful information but lose the ability to view graphics. Key benefits of plain text emails is their smaller file size and your ability to read them offline.
Q: What information will be contained in the 1iota Pulse Newsletter?
A: 1iota.com will send a bi-monthly newsletter to our members by March 2005. The newsletter will bring bring you exciting information about past and future events, photos, member spotlights - and special offers on merchandise!
Q: How do I subscribe/unsubscribe to the 1iota.com newsletter or 1iota event updates?
A: Just login and click the "Email Preferences" link. Simply check or uncheck the type of 1iota email you want to change.

A: No problem! Just click on Password Recovery link, enter your email address, click SEND and we'll send your password to the email address we have on file.
Q: How do I change my screen name/password?
A: Just go to My Profile and follow the easy steps!
Q: Why can't my screen name be the same as my email address?
A: Your 1iota.com screen name is a unique word or phrase that you select. Unlike your email address, your 1iota.com screen name does not correspond in any way to your identity outside the 1iota.com community-ensuring that your anonymity is protected until you decide to reveal it.
Q: How do I Register/Create a Profile?
A: Creating and registering for an event is free and takes only a few minutes to go through the easy steps. Just click the "sign up" button at the top of the page.
Q: How do I Update My Profile?
A: To update your profile, login and click "My Profile" then follow the simple instructions.
Q: Why should I post my photo on 1iota.com?
A: We would like everyone to submit a photograph if you want to be considered for "casted" 1iota events. You do not need to upload a photo to be a member of a studio audience.
Q: What are the guidelines for posting a photo?
A: 1iota.com is committed to providing our members with a secure, comfortable environment. We reserve the right to crop or reject any photo at our discretion.
Please adhere to the following guidelines:
Nude, obscene, sexual or otherwise offensive photos will not be posted.
Cartoon characters and photos of celebrities are copyrighted and will not be posted.
You must be in the photo and clearly visible.
Q: How do I post a photo?
A: 1iota.com makes it easy for you to Upload a photo. To upload a photo directly from your computer, simply login then select "My Photo" and follow the instructions.
Q: I already have a photo, but how do I add others?
A: At this point, we only allow one photo per profile.
Q: How do I resign from 1iota.com?
A: Simply login and click the "Resign my account" link. Then, verify that you would like to resign your account. All of your account info will be completely deleted from our database.

Technical Issues
Q: I keep getting logged out. What is wrong?
A: If you are repeatedly logged out, please visit the login help page. You probably need to change one of the following browser settings: privacy settings, cookies, auto complete, firewall settings.
Q: I am having technical problems. Who should I contact?
A: If you are having technical problems, please submit a Trouble Ticket to our Tech Support Department. Please include as much information about your problem as possible so we can pinpoint your issue and respond back.
Q: Why does the 1iota.com site seem to be slow?
A: If you're having trouble with the speed of our site, it's usually one of three things:
* 1iota.com may be experiencing technical difficulty. We know what it's like to be in a hurry to find love, but please try again later.
* The connection on your end may be the cause. Double-check your modem settings or connection speed to make sure you're connected at the highest possible internet connection rate.
* The internet itself may be experiencing a traffic jam. Try again at another time when the information highway may not be so heavily traveled.
Q: What is auto-login?
A: 1iota.com's auto-login feature allows us to recognize you each time you visit our site-eliminating the need to request your desScreenName and password with each visit. Please visit Login Help if you have any problems.
Q: How do I turn on/off auto-login?
A: You may turn on/off the auto-login feature at any time by checking or un-checking the "Remember Me" box on the login page.
